In 2018, Costa Interiors participated in the creation of the "Vatican Chapel" inside the Cini Foundation on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice.

The Holy See pavilion, designed by architects Francesco Magnani and Traudy Pelzel, is inspired by Gunnar Asplund's famous "Chapel in the Woods", built in 1920 in the Stockholm cemetery. The project, desired by the commissioner Cardinal Gianfranco Ravasi and our client, Dr. Vittorio Alpi, was developed with the intention of recreating a sacred space in perfect harmony with its natural surroundings.

This small chapel, located among the trees, blends spirituality with nature in an evocative way, offering a silent and contemplative refuge. Our collaboration focused on the engineering and the detailing, while ensuring that the construction retained its delicacy and respect for the surrounding environment.
